Learnvia is built to work with the tools you use to learn. Here are the accessibility features available to you and how to use them. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and we keep improving. If something is not working for you, tell us (see the bottom of this page).
Keyboard navigation
You can move through Learnvia with the keyboard alone. Use Tab to move between items and Enter or Space to select. When you start tabbing, a "Skip to Content" link appears so you can jump past the menu straight to your lesson. Multiple choice questions, menus, and the math input all work with the keyboard.
Screen readers
Learnvia works with screen readers, and we test with VoiceOver. Headings, buttons, and links are labeled, and changes on the page, like new feedback after you answer, are announced. If your screen reader misses something, let us know so we can fix it.
Videos
Lesson videos include closed captions, and key visuals are described. Turn captions on with the CC button in the video player. You can also slow the video down or speed it up with the playback speed control.
Display and zoom
Learnvia offers a dark mode if you prefer lower brightness or higher contrast. You can also zoom in using your browser (Ctrl and + on Windows, or Command and + on a Mac), and the page will reflow to fit your screen without cutting off content.
Math questions
When a question asks you to enter a math expression, an on-screen math keyboard is available so you can build the expression without hunting for symbols. The math is also built to be read aloud by screen readers.
If something is not working
We are always improving accessibility, and some areas are still a work in progress. If a feature is not working for you, email us at support@learnvia.org or ask your instructor. For the full details of where we stand, see our Accessibility Statement.
