How your Learnvia work reaches your course gradebook

Who this is for: students.

If your instructor has connected Learnvia to your school's LMS, such as Canvas, your Learnvia work is sent to your course gradebook automatically. You do not have to submit anything separately or copy a score across yourself.

There is no "submit the whole assignment" step. Each question you finish updates your score right away, so you earn credit as you go.

When it updates

Your score is sent to the gradebook in near real time as it goes up, until the due date for that task passes. In practice, finishing a question and then checking your LMS a short time later should show the change.

What happens after the due date

What gets sent to your gradebook is what you had earned by the due date. You can still keep working after a due date, and we encourage you to, because skipping content leaves gaps. That later work raises your completion in Learnvia and your instructor can see it, but it does not change the score already sent to the gradebook.

If you need a due date changed, that is your instructor's call. They can grant an extension for one student or move a date for the whole class.

If your score looks wrong

Check your progress inside Learnvia first, since that is the source your gradebook is fed from. If Learnvia and your LMS disagree after a little time has passed, contact your instructor. Some courses are set up so the instructor transfers grades over manually rather than automatically, in which case your gradebook updates whenever they do that rather than continuously.

Not every course connects Learnvia to the gradebook. If you do not see Learnvia columns in your LMS at all, ask your instructor how they are recording this work.
